STATEMENT OF RONALD GONZALES-LAWRENCE CANDIDATE FOR LITTLE LAKE SCHOOL DISTRICT GOVERNING BOARD

Every child deserves a great education. Every community needs good schools.

My name is Ronald Gonzales-Lawrence. I've lived here all my life, and I feel fortunate to call this community my home.

I know what a great education looks like. I attended good schools in Norwalk and Santa Fe Springs. They put me on the path to college and helped prepare me for life.

I want the same for students in Little Lake schools.

Five simple ideas will guide me:

1. Teachers teach best when they have no more than 20 students in their classroom.
2. Preschool and full-day kindergarten prepares children to learn.
3. Good financial planning will make sure we can meet the needs of our students.
4. Preparation for college starts on day one.
5. Every school should be safe and clean.

Little Lake schools offer a great education. We have committed teachers, principals and staff. Together, I believe we can make our schools even better.

I respectfully ask for your vote on November 6.

Ronald Gonzales-Lawrence
