Ronald Gonzales-Lawrence is a candidate for the Little Lake City School District Board of Education. His active participation in the communities of Norwalk and Santa Fe Springs make him an ideal candidate. The election is November 6th, 2007.

Ronald was appointed by Council Member Gordon Stefenhagen to serve on the Norwalk Youth Commission. He also served on the Southeast Los Angeles County Work Force Investment Board Youth Council. Later, he was reappointed to serve another 2-year term on the youth commission.

Ronald served as an Intern for State Senator Martha M. Escutia (ret). He worked closely with the staff and the District Director on projects that affected the 30th Senate District.

At age 18, Ronald became the youngest person in state history to serve as a Field Representative for a Member of the State Legislature. Ronald worked in the communities of Norwalk, Little Lake City School District and Cerritos Community College District representing Assembly Member Rudy Bermudez (ret.).

Ronald was elected to serve as the Chairman of the 56th Assembly District Democratic Committee of the California Democratic Party in 2003. He was the youngest person to serve as an Assembly District Committee Chairman in party history. He also served as a member of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party Central Committee, a member of the Hubert Humphries Democratic Club and a founding member of the Southeast Los Angeles County Young Democrats.

At 21, Ronald ran for the Little Lake City School District Board of Education. He is a former student of the district. He attended Paddison Elementary and graduated from Lakeside Middle School, Ronald has a very unique perspective of the district. He was the only candidate supported by the Little Lake Education Association (Teachers Association), the County Federation of Labor, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party; the Whittier Daily News, State Board of Equalization Chairman John Chiang, Assemblyman Rudy Bermudez, Santa Fe Springs Mayor Louie Gonzales and many other elected and community leaders.

Ronald is the Public Relations Officer for Environment Management Enterprises, Inc. and a consultant working in governmental relations, community relation, public relations, and public affairs. Ronald graduated with civic and religious honors from St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs. He attends Cerritos College majoring in Political Science.
