Councilmember; City of Hermosa Beach

If elected to be your City Councilman, I will work to manage our City in a civil, courteous, and professional manner by leading with common sense. I will make it my priority to manage City business in a way that is respectful of residents.

As a problem solver who believes in an inclusive style of leadership, I will solicit input from all parts of our community in making decisions. Consensus-building will be the hallmark of my public service to our City.

A Balanced Downtown Environment
- Fight to keep Hermosa Beach as the seaside village we know and love.
- Encourage the growth of vibrant, healthy and resident-friendly businesses.
- Focus policy and program decisions to about making sure Hermosa Beach remains a family-friendly residential community.

Street and Sidewalk Improvements
- Insure that every street and sidewalk meets the same standard of safety an issue I've been working on as Chairman of the Public Works Commission.
- Accelerate our 5-year street repair timeline by looking for additional funding.
- Publicize a 'street repair plan' so that the City is held accountable to the repair schedule.

Increased Neighborhood Safety
- Increase police activity throughout the City by reducing the current need for attention in our downtown area.
- Make our neighborhoods safer by strengthening Neighborhood Watch.
- Work with other government agencies to improve our disaster preparedness.
