My philosophy regarding this election is simple, I want what you want:

  • well educated and motivated students,
  • dedicated teachers,
  • effective learning materials,
  • state of the art educational technology,
  • safe, secure and clean schools,
  • a strong financial future for the school district,
  • and a real sense of community at East Whittier City School District.

I believe we are all stakeholders in the futures of our children and our neighbor's children. We have a common goal in their success. We must support them by expecting continued high standards for both pupils and teachers, seeking further advancement in student achievement and pupil test scores, providing schools appropriate and sufficient instructional materials including district-wide access to educational technology, ensuring campus safety and cleanliness, maintaining a strong financial future, and doing what it takes to further the already excellent reputation in the community of the East Whittier City School District as the "real deal" when it comes to educating children.

With this said, I believe my career in public service has prepared me to be a hard-working and dedicated board member. The financial knowledge and experience I have acquired offers a new dimension to a school board + an asset that can be a valuable tool for helping promote the mission of the East Whittier City School District and Governing Board in serving the educational needs of the children of this community. I want to be part of the successful educational track record demonstrated in the East Whittier City School District and use this experience for contributing to the ongoing success of the District.
