Governing Board Member; Mount San Antonio Community College District

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

ED CHAVEZ
AGE:
43
OCCUPATION: Teacher

As a husband, father, and a lifetime resident of the Mt. San Antonio Community College District, Ed Chavez has been a very caring, trusting and involved educational leader in our community.

Earning a community college degree in General Education, Ed Chavez knew that this would be a great opportunity to help others achieve their educational goals in life as well. He later graduated from the University of California and earned a Teaching Credential.

In addition to helping students as a teacher for many years, Ed Chavez was elected to the Board of Education and later served as the Board’s President. There he established educational reforms that led to higher student achievements. He fought for higher funding for class-size reduction, state-of-the-art computer equipment, handicapped access, and better learning facilities.

Ed Chavez has been a big supporter of Mt. San Antonio Community College and will continue to fight for lower student fees, make more classes available, and create a systematic plan for better transportation and parking that meets both the student’s and faculty’s needs.

Ed Chavez has the experience, knowledge and integrity to meet these challenges.

Please vote for Ed Chavez to the Governing Board at Mt. San Antonio Community College.
