MANUEL BACA
AGE:
58
OCCUPATION: Governing Board Member

For the past several years, as a Mt. SAC trustee, I have provided strong, visionary and moral leadership. I have worked collaboratively with others to keep Mt. SAC the premier community college in the state. I continue to work diligently to ensure that learning opportunities for our students and our community are provided at the highest level possible. During my tenure as your trustee, I can report to you that Mt. SAC has

  • Maintained a balanced budget and
  • Completed state and bond-funded building projects; all within budget and on time.
  • Appointed strong and effective leaders at all levels of management.
  • Continued to hire outstanding and talented academic and vocational faculty

As an experienced trustee and educator, I will continue to advocate for the community college’s fair share of state resources and ensure that Mt. SAC
  • Maintains a balanced budget;
  • Keeps classroom instruction its highest priority;
  • Provides a safe learning environment, and
  • Provides the resources needed by students to achieve academic, vocational and career goals.

I am proud to have the endorsement of civic and elected leaders from throughout the San Gabriel and Pomona valleys.

I ask for your VOTE on November 6, 2007.
