I have remained a registered Democrat since I was old enough to vote, and still think of the Democratic party as representative of "everyman". I am concerned about the growing trend toward candidates' enrolling in political parties and often changing their party affiliation based upon political expediency rather than political ideology. No election is worth winning if one's ideals are compromised.
