WHY AS A DEMOCRATE, I SUPPORT GUILLORY FOR THE 37TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT By Robert Henning, Former Mayor, City of Lynwood

I support Guillory for Congress because I am tired of all the lies coming out of Washington. I want to be protected from the high price of gas, and watching the oil companies making obscene profits. I want to be able to eat safe food that was inspected by the U.S.D.A. I want someone to represent me for a change and not big business. I want my Social Security retirement protected so I won't have to eat dog food in my later years. I want someone to look into these high electric bills and telephone bills. I want someone who will find out where all that free Iraqi oil has gone for the last four years, what company got the contract, and how. These are just some of the reasons I support Guillory for Congress. Guillory has all the qualifications and guts to seek out these issues and more. It is time we realized, we are not better off today than we were five years ago. We need a Congressman who represents us for a change. Guillory is that change. If you are like me, you are tired of these same, sorry elected officials, rubbing each others back for favors, and do nothing votes in Congress. They forget why they were elected, and just join the club of rubber stamping whatever legislation any corporation willing to pay into their Political Action Committee (PAC) brings to them. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We need people who are willing to take on this corrupt system head on, and in Guillory, we have found one such individual. I have witnessed Bishop Guillory, as the Ombudsman General for Ombudsman International, take on corrupt politicians, rogue police officers, and the system to ensure justice prevails for those who have been caught up in the game of corruption. I have known Bishop Guillory since he was 12 years old. Even then I knew he was a strong willed young man. Because of his strength, I recruited him to become a Youth Commissioner for the City of Lynwood, President of the Lynwood Jaycees, and as he got older, my Deputy. POLITICAL PRISONER I was proud of Guillory as he became involved in the injustice given to Latasha Harlin and his attempt to recall two Judges from the Compton Courts. He went to one of the Judges house to serve her the recall papers. None of the other elected and non elected officials had the guts to do that, not even me. I was beaming with pride as his strength showed how strong he really was. The Judges got their vengeance on Guillory as he was framed and wrongfully convicted for a number of crimes he did not commit. He was shackled and taken back to the same Compton Courthouse for his trial. He stood alone in that Courtroom, waiting for the lynching that came swiftly from one of the mob of judges he had dared to recall. The Judge would not give him a change of venue so he could have a fair trial, and we all knew why. As we all stood by and watched another young man castrated by a corrupt legal system, none of us reached out in protest to help him, or come to his aid. They took away eight and a half years of his young life, just as they had done with Nelson Mandella, Muhammad Ali, and other strong black men showing signs of strength. Guillory was truly a political prisoner. When he was released, he held his head high and began his quest of ridding our communities of this type of corruption. He began where it all started, in Compton. The Police Chief was fired for stealing city funds. The whole Police Department was disbanded shortly thereafter. I trust Guillory because he has the moral strength to represent his constituents without becoming corrupt, as so many of our other so called elected officials has. VOTE FOR GUILLORY FOR CONGRESS, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.
