WILLIAM “RUSTY” BAILEY
AGE: 34
OCCUPATION: Educator
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Public service is my passion.

I’ve been a leader at Poly High School, West Point, UCLA, the Riverside County Economic Development Agency, U.S. HUD, the White House, and RUSD.

My experiences in community planning and development and on the Cultural Heritage Board will benefit Ward 3 residents as together we address crucial issues: transportation, traffic, business, parks, recreation, and parking. My understanding of how historic preservation and economic development complement each other will help realize the Riverside Renaissance vision.

As a fourth-generation Riversider, I’ve learned that people and families are the assets that sustain communities. As your city councilman I will work to gain your participation and I will listen to community organizations and concerned citizens.

I view young Riversiders - potential teachers, lawyers, business leaders, health care professionals, tradesmen - as a valuable resource. I will work to create desirable jobs and housing they can afford so they’ll want to stay in Riverside and raise their children here. I will continue to encourage them to become engaged in government to help strengthen our neighborhoods and city.

Vote Bailey - an experienced community leader who cares about the long-term future of Riverside and citizen participation in government.
