After graduating from law school, Larry served as Judicial Law Clerk to HON. JOHN FEIKENS, Chief United States District Judge, Detroit, Michigan.

Larry served for many years as an officer and director of his family synagogue, SJCC-Bnai Aaron in Havertown, serving as its President from 2002-04. Larry is now on the executive committee of the regional organization of conservative Jewish congregations.

Larry has served as assistant coach and head coach of two of his daughters' soccer teams, and been active in the Haverford Soccer Club since 2000.

Larry and Seyna (his wife of 22 years) live in Ardmore with their three daughters, Jessica age 20, Dori age 17 and Nora age 10. Jessica is a graduate of Haverford High School, and currently finishing her Junior year at Cornell University. Dori is a Junior at Haverford High School. Nora will be graduating from Coopertown Elementary in June, completing a streak of 16 consecutive years of one of the Abel girls being a Coopertown Student. Seyna is a graduate of Temple University and owns and operates Mayfield Florist in Upper Darby

Larry graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, Ann Arbor, Michigan, J.D. 1982. Larry earned a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the University of Michigan Rackham School of Graduate Studies, A.M. 1981 in applied Economics

Larry earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan College of Literature Science in 1977. Larry had a double concentration in economics and English. Larry attended University of Pennsylvania 1974

Since 2000, Larry has been involved in teaching other lawyers as an Instructor in Continuing Legal Education regarding domestic relations, primarily child Custody and Visitation in Pennsylvania.
