  • Passage of Measure S secured funds to purchase Johnson's Pasture
  • Added 223 acres of hillside to Wilderness Park with a California WCB grant
  • Village Expansion project is near completion. Parking structure completed.
  • Grand opening of the DoubleTree Hotel has generated an additional 3% of new revenue for the city. Started redevelopment of the Old School House
  • Trader Joe's has signed lease agreement to come to Claremont in 2007
  • Ordinance and project are in place to significantly increase both affordable ownership and affordable rental housing in Claremont
  • Increased hours of services at the Claremont Public Library
  • Installed new sidewalk and landscaping along Foothill Blvd.
  • Renovated the Pooch Park
  • Completed Towne Ave Improvement project which reduced speed and enhanced aesthetics of the street
  • Initiated the Padua Hills Theatre Auditorium Study with a Getty Foundation grant
  • More information available and easier access on the City web site
  • New city manager and his management team has improved city operations
  • Increased outreach and promotion of all the Claremont Businesses
  • Launched the Police Dept. E-Watch system
  • Completed a financial plan to reduce the employee pension deficit and is now ready for council discussion
  • Completed the new General Plan (GP)
  • Accelerated the implementation of the GP's Sustainable Development
  • Updating the Youth and Family Master Plan
  • Significantly improved "town-gown" and "city-school" relationship
