This information is provided by the candidate

I plan on improving the current quality of life through additional community services for seniors, youth and families, by adding pedestrian and bicycle paths throughout the City, creating community gardens, and increasing public safety. I want to preserve the City's diverse history. I plan on maintaining responsible development and smart growth through planned commercial and residential development and will improve the City's "green space" with additional parks. I will push to increase communication between the City and residents by improving the City's website and establishing a transparency policy for increased community awareness of City decisions.

In short, I want to insure the City of Signal Hill you live in today, is the City you want to live in tomorrow.

Edward's vision for Signal Hill begins with the community

  • Improve Public Safety and increase police visibility in the community, especially near parks and adjacent roadways.

  • Insuring the successful completion of the new Police Headquarters.

  • Increased accessibility for disabled and active citizens by widening of sidewalks, repair of all street signs and development of additional pedestrian paths throughout the City.

  • Preserving the City's diverse history and improving our City Library.

  • Inclusion of responsible development policies on all property development.

  • Creation of new community gardens throughout the City.

  • Addressing traffic and parking issues in congested neighborhoods.

Edward's vision continues with local businesses and community organizations

  • Partnering with local businesses and organizations to create jobs for Signal Hill residents.

  • Ensuring Council actions improve the overall quality of life.

  • Continue local environmental awareness such as illegal dumping in storm drain catch basins and water contamination.

  • Increase communication between the City staff and community.

  • Rebuild our sense of community by increasing senior, youth and family services and creating additional community events at the various parks throughout the City.
