By Louie Pastor

Candidate for Council Member; City of Manhattan Beach

This information is provided by the candidate
I will do my best to impede any action that will disrupt the peace of mind of any resident of Manhattan Beach.
We need to remain neighborly. The small town ambiance is gone, but we can do our best not to let things get any worse. City council must be inclusive of all our residents especially those not blessed with wealth. The city council must change the way it communicates with our residents. I propose establishing city "sectors" with representation from each. We must ensure that there is reasonable time for any communication process so we can optimize our efforts in making decisions that minimize negative impact on any one person or group. This is no guarantee that all people will be happy with a decision, but it will help ensure that compassion and hopefully some wisdom will be incorporated fully before a decision is made.
