Excellence, effecitveness and equity. Roberta will insist on using these principles to build a school system where every child in PUSD will receive high quality education. She will insist on using best practices in our classrooms, at our schools and in our adminstrative offices. She will lead the effort to ensure that adminstrative staff produce sound budgets, assessments and evealuations using accurate and detailed data. Strenghthening the role of School Site Counsels at each school.

Roberta sees the need for a comprehensive, quick range and long range plans that will include:

Budget and Finance District and School Configurations, Open Enrollment, Magnet and Charter Schools Teacher retention Special Education

Informed by existing documents, including the Curriculum Management Audit and the current Magagement Audit.

In addition she will ask adminstrative staff to review:support of existing and developing career and technical education programs, strengthen counseling efforts, including a review of the needs of chldren in foster care
