Occupation: University Professor

Dear Neighbor,

I am a longtime Artesia homeowner and resident. My wife Monica and I have been married for 15 years and are the proud parents of three beautiful children, Amanda, Isabel, and Jack.

I have earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. Since 2002, I have been working as Assistant Professor at California State University, Los Angeles.

Community and Public Service:

  • Planning Commissioner for the City of Artesia
  • Chairperson for the ABC USD Legislative and Policy Committee
  • Board member of Su Casa Family Support Center
  • Columnist for the Los Cerritos Community News
  • Member of Holy Family Church

I will use my education and experience to make sure our government works for the people. If elected, I am committed to:

  • Ensuring that our Senior Citizens' programs are always funded
  • Maintaining quality after-school programs for our youth
  • Attracting businesses that can provide meaningful employment for Artesians
  • Auditing city departments to eliminate wasteful spending

I look forward to serving you as your next councilmember to make Artesia an even better place to live. I respectfully ask for your vote on March 6, 2007.
