This information is provided by the candidate
For Artesia City Council

Tony Lima

Occupation: Real estate broker

Hello fellow neighbors,

I am an immigrant who came to this great country like countless others, looking for an opportunity. I started by serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. During this dynamic time, I gained my confidence, strength and maturity to follow my dreams.

I, then, went on to study business and law locally. Eventually, I became a real estate broker and opened my own office right here in Artesia. That was more than 30 years ago.

Along the way, I have been most fortunate to serve as

  • Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee for the local Board of Realtors
  • Member of the Political Affairs Committee for the CA Assn of Realtors
  • Vice-president of the Artesia D.E.S. (Portuguese Hall)
  • President of the Lady of Fatima Festival
  • President of the Toastmasters
  • President of the Cerritos/Artesia Rotary Club

As your new Councilman, I will:

  • Increase funding to improve public safety
  • Work with the different factions for the good of our community
  • Represent all citizens with diligence and respect
  • Promote job fairs and employment opportunities for Artesia residents
  • Improve our Youth and Senior Citizens' programs

I've been quite blessed to have worked and lived in Artesia for the last 30 years. I have enjoyed becoming friends with many people from many different backgrounds. Now I feel that is time for me to give back to the community that has given me so much.

I thank you for your support and I look forward to serving you.
