PUBLIC SAFETY

By Raymond "Ray" Dunton

Candidate for Council Member; City of Bellflower

This information is provided by the candidate
I believe that the primary responsibility of local government is the safety of its residence.
I believe that the primary responsibility of local government is the safety of its residence. While Bellflower has experienced a low "Part One" crime rate + the most violent crimes + I believe there is still much more to be done. We need to revive Bellflower Against Gangs, encourage our patrol deputies to have a greater visible presence in our neighborhoods and take a tougher stance on local panhandlers. I also support Bellflower's leadership role in the Orangeline High-Speed Mag Lev (magnetic levitation) Development Authority to reduce traffic impacts and increase development opportunities including new businesses on the boulevard.
