Save West Hollywood campaign position

By Ed Buck

Candidate for Council Member; City of West Hollywood

This information is provided by the candidate
Working to restore our trust in city government by stopping overdevelopment, ending the evictions of renters, and preserving the West Hollywood urban village.
The Save West Hollywood campaign slate, Wilson, Martin, and Buck, consists of the only candidates who will stand up for you against the big developers who have bought City Hall, offering a new team to return West Hollywood to its original vision. We will:

-PROTECT RENTERS HOMES FROM DEMOLITION by changing city policies that encourage the destruction of rent-controlled homes.

-STOP MEGA-DEVELOPMENT. We oppose city supported developments that are destroying our community, creating gridlock and parking problems, and displacing neighborhood businesses.

-PRESERVE OUR NEIGHBORHOODS. We will protect our historic buildings and encourage human scale development. Moreover, we will create real park space for seniors, children and our pets.

-SAVE OUR URBAN VILLAGE by enhancing our "small town in a big city" feel by fostering local businesses that are neighborhood friendly.

-RESTORE YOUR VOICE IN OUR CITY'S FUTURE. After 22 years of city hood, the council is arrogant and out of touch. We need a new team that will listen to you, the residents of West Hollywood

-TAKE DOWN THE "FOR SALE" SIGN AT CITY HALL. Out of town developers are deciding our future with mega-contributions. We will end the culture of corruption in City Hall.
