1. Both parties have called for redistricting reform. What three top criteria should be used in redrawing legislative districts? (150 word limit)

Answer from Glenda Smith:

The top three criteria I would use to redraw legislative districts are: 1) appoint a bipartisan commission to work through redistricting issues, run models, and gain public input, 2) competitiveness, and; 3) appoint a bi-partisan panel of appeals court judges for legal challenges.

Answer from Shawn N. Webster:

1) compactness; 2) competiveness; 3) contiguity.
