Health Care
My three decades as a nurse have provided me with a unique perspective on health care issues, including:
  • Barriers to Access
  • Barriers to affordability
  • Medicaid Fraud
Economy
Economic opportunities in the Southern Tier are disappearing. The jbs that are here do not pay enough to support a family and do not offer health insurance. We need to turn this trend around and attract jobs that will boost our economy and give our kids a reason to stay.
Education
Education is under-funded in our state. Student performance and teacher quality, along with the resources to improve them, must be increased to ensure a sufficient workforce for our future. Education and the economy are linked. How can the Southern Tier hope to attract good-paying jobs if our region cannot produce a quality workforce?
