Questions & Answers

1. Please make a statement addressing what makes you the best candidate for this office.

My 22 years of judicial experience is inspired by my devotion to ethics and fairness. Nine years as a Family Court Judge and then the first woman elected to the Supreme Court in the Third Judicial District, I was later appointed to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court by Governor Cuomo and twice re-appointed by Governor Pataki. I hear appeals from the trial courts in 28 counties. I also serve on the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct which considers complaints against judges. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve all of the people of this state.
