1. The American occupation in Iraq continues to be enormously costly in dollars and in lives. What is your position on how our government should proceed?*

Answer from Edward Daniels:

I believe that our government should begin to make preparations to remove our troops from Iraq. I believe that our focus should have remained on those responsible for 911. Iraq has thus far been an expensive and unproductive potential quagmire that has seriously damaged America's standing in the world community and impaired our freedom of movement in the world as well jeopardizing our internal freedoms and rights.

2. What is your impression of the roll-out of the Medicare Prescription Drug program so far, and what changes would you propose to make it better?*

Answer from Edward Daniels:

I need to acquire further information before I can take a position or make a proposal on addressing this issue in a constructive way.

3. Where do you stand on the current balance between security and civil rights?*

Answer from Edward Daniels:

I am extremely concerned about the enactment of laws that I believe will seriously impact upon our fundamental civil and constitutional rights. These laws can have a decided impact on us and our society as we once knew it as a Democracy for all the world to look up to and aspire to be like.
