1. Please make a statement addressing what makes you the best candidate for this office.

Answer from Randy Sue Marber:

With experience gained as a District Court Judge, as a law clerk and as a trial attorney, I possess the skills and background to effectively fulfill the obligations of a Supreme Court Justice. The range of my trial experience, as a litigator and jurist, enable me to foster justice in the courtroom in a fashion respecting the needs of litigants and lawyers alike. With a dedication toward efficiency, I am always looking to improve the manner in which cases are shepherded toward resolution. This approach enhances the public's experience with the justice system and also benefits lawyers in the representation of their clients.

Answer from Thomas A. "Tom" Adams:

For thirty-three years, I have served the public in the court system, as an Assistant District Attorney, County Court Law Secretary, District Court Judge, and Supreme Court Justice. Currently, I serve as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, 2nd Department. It is this position, within the Supreme Court, where I will continue to serve if re-elected. Given my broad background of experience, plus the fact that I already understand the needs of the position for which I am a candidate, I know that I can continue to serve with distinction.

Answer from John G. Marks:

My formal education plus my life experience enables me to appropriately blend the letter of the law with the spirit of the law. I am opened minded and not afraid to be innovative in arriving at the best available disposition.
