1. What are the three major issues you would address immediately if elected?*

Answer from Sandra R. Galef:

Reform New York government, change formula to fund education from local property tax to combination of property tax and income tax. Attack childhood obesity by getting rid of junk food in schools.

2. What is your opinion regarding the formation of an independent redistricting commission?*

Answer from Sandra R. Galef:

I strongly support. I introducted a consitutional amendment several years ago to require a "real independent commission" which would solely determine legislative districts taking the politics out of redistricting.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?*

Answer from Sandra R. Galef:

I believe that I have listened well to my constituents, brought their views to Albany, worked hard on thier behalf, and always been there to help with individual constituent needs.

Responses to questions asked of each candidate are reproduced as submitted to the League.
  • Original answers for a published Voters Guide were limited to 30 words and are presented as submitted. Candidates have since been invited to supply answers of any length for the Web.

The order of the candidates is random and changes daily. Candidates who did not respond are not listed on this page.
