1. What are the three major issues you would address immediately if elected?*

Answer from Jim Coleman:

Utilize 23 years of results-oriented, executive leadership experience to reform Albany, reduce taxes and state spending, improve health care insurance access, improve aid to education, stop Bronx River Parkway flooding.

Answer from Amy R. Paulin:

Education, Taxes, Reforming Albany - I will fight to enhance the quality of public education, hold down property taxes with additional state aid, and advocate for reform and on-time budgets.

2. What is your opinion regarding the formation of an independent redistricting commission?*

Answer from Amy R. Paulin:

I am sponsor of legislation to create an independent redistricting commission, which will restore confidence in the political process and trust in government. It will lessen gerrymandering and assure integrity.

3. What makes you the best candidate for this office?*

Answer from Amy R. Paulin:

During 6 years in the Assembly, I have a record of both sponsoring and passing meaningful legislation, ranging from crime victims' rights, to property tax relief, to enhancing public education.
