As a Modesto City Councilwoman I've solved local problems by taking basic approaches.

Nuts and Bolts: I've eliminated over $3 million a year in excess administrative costs and redirected that money to police, fire and street repair.

Carrots and Sticks: Only well-planned projects should move forward. I'll fight sprawl, protect farmland and make developers pay for new infrastructure like roads and parks.

Steel Bars and Iron Wills: Meth dealers, gang members, and sexual predators must be locked up. I'll use our money to fully fund law enforcement. First!

Words and Deeds: I don't believe in political speeches. Getting things done is what matters. I built a new shelter for the poor without a penny of taxpayer money. I helped bring Kaiser Hospital to Modesto.

Here and Now: My experience is right here, right now, in today's Modesto. I'm raising children here and running a business.

I'm proud that Modesto's firefighters, police officers and community leaders support me. I'd appreciate your vote for supervisor.
