Stanislaus County, CA November 7, 2006 Election
Smart Voter Full Biography for Ted Howze

Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Turlock

This information is provided by the candidate

Growing up in a Central Valley farming family, I learned a love of farming and the value of hard work early in life. I worked my way through high school, saving enough money for one year of tuition at the University of California at Davis. While at UC Davis I took a full time job working as a firefighter & Emergency Medical Technician to pay my way through school. I gained a great appreciation for public service while working as a firefighter.
My wife and I moved to Stanislaus County after graduating from veterinary school in 1994. I've been co-owner and managing partner of Mid Valley Large Animal Service for the last 10 years. During those years, I have grown a small veterinary practice into very successful multi-doctor business. As my practice became more self-sufficient I resumed farming and returned to public service as a city of Turlock Planning Commissioner. I enjoy making a positive difference in our community.

As Election Day approaches, my goal is to show you that I am uniquely qualified for this important position because of my background as a community leader with both public service and private business experience. I would be proud to work hard serving our community.
