By Steven "Steve" Haze

Candidate for United States Representative; District 21

This information is provided by the candidate
The 8 counties of the San Joaquin Valley have been declared the new Appalachia of America in a recently released Congressional report. This initiative is essential in establishing a foundation for people to feel secure in their neighborhoods, schools and workplaces
Within the San Joaquin Valley & the 21st Congressional District many of our communities do not have control over crime and creating safe communities. Drugs and gangs are commonplace. Re-instituting the community-based COPS program will help communities begin regaining control of their neighborhoods, schools and workplaces.

Preventative programs are essential towards creating an environment in which children can grow and prosper in a healthy environment. School programs, after school programs, community service programs that provide young people personal growth and individual enterprise opportunities is critical to creating thriving, safe and healthy communities.
