In the year 1920 my grandmother Julia Popovic came to United States to marry my grandfather Peter. They had six children, my father being the youngest (born 1929). My grandfather worked various jobs as a laborer, until her got a steady job at a brick making plant in the Canton, Ohio area. During the depression my grandfather and his family immigrated back to Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Later came WWII, and the Communist came to power. My family was relocated by the communist as part of "ethnic relocation" plan.

My brother and I both attended public schools and earned college our degrees. 1987 my parents and my brother immigrated to United States, I joined them in 1988.
