As a board member since 1990, I aman active advocate for academic excellence. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Spanish and Education [Curriculum, Teaching and Learning] and I've taught students from pre-school through university, here and abroad since 1964. Our family has lived in this District for 30 years. Our three daughters excelled in their academic studies and hold cherished memories of their outstanding Bellevue experiences.

My focus includes raising academic expectations and achievement, improving nutrition and physical fitness, assuring that special needs students are well-served, offering quality gifted programs, supporting visual and performing arts, and seeking superb candidates to fill the positions of our distinguished retiring educators.

As a professional educator, department chair and board member, I'm proud of any record of requiring the highest standards of achievement and accountability for students, the education team and myself. I'm committed to open, positive collaboration and communication between faculty, parents and administration. I offer my lifetime of experience and dedication to quality public education and my solid knowledge of academic, social and economic issues, goals and challenges in our District and ask for your support to continue serving you and the children.
