I grew up in the Sunset district the third child of five in a Catholic family. My parents sent me to parochial schools (St. Anne's and St. Ignatius). I later attended S.F. State and U.C. extension.

I moved away from San Francisco in the seventies and traveled to the Midwest and the East Coast working in wholesale and retail operations within the Health Food industry. I married and moved to Virginia where my wife and I raised three children. We moved back to San Francisco in 1995 with our children and moved in with my mother back in the Sunset district. All of our children attended public schools in San Francisco (Jefferson and Clarendon, Hoover and A.P. Gianini and Lowell).

Since our return, I have been self-employed, selling beverages and bakery goods wholesale in the Oakland area. Our oldest son, Samsun, is a senior at the San Francisco Conservatory of music (cello), our daughter, Hannah, attends U.C. Berkeley where she plans to study genetics, and our youngest son, Sunjin, is a senior at Lowell.

San Francisco is my hometown and I'm glad to be back. I seek to dedicate myself in service to this beautiful city to help improve the quality of life. I believe I have something valuable to contribute and hope to get the opportunity to do so.
