In order for us to make it through the 21st Century, we need to maximize our regional energy, water and food independence. Today, almost all the money that our citizens and tourists spend here on all three resources are imported which costs us business opportunities and independence. Our regional economy can be developed further to retain dollars for our businesses and create jobs by developing our local renewable energy, water and agricultural resources. Ecological design and good planning need to be the roadmap for implementing our city land-use policies and addressing traffic problems. By aggressively working to solve these issues we will increase the value of our homes and businesses, improve public safety and enhance our quality of life.

1) Land-Use decisions that support and serve the Carlsbad citizens

• Preserve protect and promote the Agro-economy and agricultural soils from development and other misuses.

• Increase Natural Open Space, State and City Parks.

• Establish an effective school bus system for our schools.

• Consider inner street car to loop from Carlsbad Village Dr. Station down El Camino .Real to Poinsettia Station.

• Save taxpayers millions a year just by implementing cost-effective energy policy

• Utilize Senate Bill 1(SB1)" Million Solar Roofs initiative" & Assembly Bill ( AB 117) "Community Choice" to chart our independence from foreign dependency or energy manipulation

• Work with the solar industry, government agencies and the community to increase alternative energy resources and enterprise in Carlsbad.
