Crystal Crawford was first elected to the Del Mar City Council in November 1998 after having served on the Del Mar Design Review Board from 1994-1998, the last three years as the Chair. She successfully ran for re-election to the City Council in November 2002.

Born, raised, and educated in Louisiana, Ms. Crawford studied law at the University of San Diego from 1983 until graduating in 1986 and now considers San Diego County, and specifically Del Mar, as home. Ms. Crawford is licensed to practice law in California, Washington, and Louisiana and is currently general counsel to Molsoft, a privately held biotech software company in La Jolla, California.

Ms. Crawford lives in Del Mar with her husband, Conrad Herring, and her two dogs and cat. Her enthusiasm for civic affairs and involvement is matched by an equally avid involvement and love of animals and the great outdoors. When she finds time in a terribly busy work and civic schedule to relax, you will find her hiking our local streets and canyons.
