Board Member; Alpine Community Planning Area

30 years of an Alpine Planning Group & still no large community active park or public access hiking & riding trails.

Volunteered to chair Supervisor Dianne Jacob's Alpine Revitalization Committee for Active Parks & Recreation. Put together a coalition of parks enthusiasts, youth sports groups, and a willing land owner. Obtained Supervisor's Jacob's & the Board of Supervisors' support to direct county resources at the solving the problem. County Parks Department now aggressively working on the matter.

Officer of Alpine High School Citizens Committee and a strong force in supporting the Grossmont District Board in obtaining voter approval of funding bonds and bringing a high school to Alpine. District now in process of short-listing viable alternative high school sites. A comprehensive high school will also serve as a focus for community sports facilities.
