The Issues

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Fact There is a high vacancy rate in Commercial Properties in Milpitas. Henry's Solution

Restore the Commercial Brokers Tours that were so successful. These tours brought new businesses to Milpitas which helped provide jobs and raise revenue.

CREATE A BUSINESS FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT Fact Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions Inc., a multi-national company with almost 100 local employees, left Milpitas because the the City did not return their call when they asked for assistance in locating a new larger building. Henry's Solution Provide the proper leadership and work with the corporate community, brokers, and the City to bring and keep business in Milpitas.

IMPROVE PUBLIC SAFETY Fact There have been cuts in jobs and positions in both the Police and Fire Departments. This threatens the health and safety of our citizens. Henry's Solution Henry will work with the City Council to develop a budget that allows Public Safety Organizations to maintain the necessary resources to deliver optimum services.

EDUCATION Fact

Milpitas Schools and classes are over-crowded and students cannot get the full attention they deserve.

Henry's Solution Henry will provide the leadership to enable local corporations, the School Board, and the City Council to focus upon a long term plan to address Education's future infrastructure needs that will parallel the City's growth.
