Ballot Statement of Frank Biehl,

Candidate for Governing Board Member, East Side Union High School District

Occupation: School Council President Age: 55

Education and Qualifications:

My wife, our two sons, ages 12 and 17, and I have lived on the East Side for 16 years. We're concerned about drugs, gangs, low test scores, overcrowding, and high dropout rates. As President of the School Site Council at Evergreen Valley for three years, and a parent representative on the ESUHSD Budget Task Force, I've worked to resolve these problems. I believe parents know what is best for their children and students succeed when school officials listen.

I support neighborhood schools where principals, parents, teachers and students work together to create innovation and academic excellence. I'll listen, be truthful, and strive to make sure our students graduate with the skills needed for success. I will apply my business experience to save money. I'm against large wasteful bureaucracies - taxpayer dollars belong in the classroom!

Resume: VP/General Manager/business owner; Sheriff's Management Analyst; Rotarian; Little League President; BA, San Jose State.

Council members Dave Cortese, Ken Yeager, Supervisor Jim Beall, retired State Senator Dan McCorquodale, and former Council member Charlotte Powers endorse me. Join me in the fight for our children's future. Vote for new Board leadership. http://www.biehlforschools.com.
