Candidate for
Council Member; City of Goleta

I am running for re-election because I want to help shape Goleta's future. Our challenge is to keep Goleta a community of diversity and opportunity while staying within the carrying capacity of our natural environment and the limitations of our infrastructure. I will keep Goleta on the path to meet that challenge.

I am proud of my accomplishments and what Goleta has achieved during my first term. We completed the acquisition that saved Ellwood Mesa forever. We instituted an aggressive street, sidewalk, and bikeway repair program. We began a pesticide-free park maintenance plan. We acquired land for an Old Town park. We have a dedicated city staff providing excellent services to residents. We've done all this, and more, while maintaining a balanced budget and establishing multi-million dollar reserves.

There is much to do ahead in the next four years. I ask for your support on November 7.
