Recreation and Parks Platform

By Inez L. Reyes

Candidate for Director; Cordova Recreation and Park District

This information is provided by the candidate
I believe in Putting People in our Parks. I am A Strong Advocate for Improved Recreation.
If re-elected, I will continue to encourage and facilitate community involvement in developing, safe, clean and user-friendly parks and recreational activities. I believe that together we can provide recreational services and facilities that unite the community and enhance the quality of living, for all people, living and working in this community.

I believe that we should renovate the old as we build the new and that we should seek additional resources to provide more services to youth and senior citizens. I believe that we should support the development of more sports activities and that we should strive to involve all cultural segments of our diverse community.

My work at the Rancho Cordova Neighborhood Center (RCNC), the Cordova Community Council, and the Cordova Recreation and Park District has taught me that public agencies can do more with less by sharing resources and coordinating services.

I believe that each of the communities of Riviera East, Larchmont, Rosemont, Mather, Gold River and the City of Rancho Cordova should all get their fair share of resources.
