My Commitment to the Taxpayers and Community of San Juan

By Eddie L. Kirby

Candidate for Board Member; San Juan Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
I will use my experience to pursue policies which follow the guidelines of being based off of common-sense, and that are truly innovative, and fiscally responsible.
I will also use my unique perspective to work on policy which improves our schools, and decreases running costs to the district. I promise that I will insure that our district is fiscally responsible and further, that there will be accountability when tax-dollars are wasted.

I will never turn a cheek to wasteful spending. You, as a taxpayer deserve the respect of knowing that your hard earned money is being spent in the most productive way possible. To help with this, I will press for fiscal transparency so that everyone can easily see where their tax-dollars are being spent.

I will work to pursue policies that are cost efficient to the district, and make sure that more of the district's money makes it to the individual child's classroom for expenditure on badly needed supplies.

Further, I will use my position to lobby on the behalf of our district for more local, state, and federal funds. I have many friends in our local and state government, and I will work with these elected officials to improve how money is allocated to schools, and insure that San Juan is always getting our fair share.
