Another year, and a milestone 60,000+ students in our schools. "Preparing for this growth is a challenge I take very seriously." Since I began my tenure with EGUSD, 39 new schools have opened throughout our communities with one goal - providing safe, quality educational opportunities for ALL our children.

I am proud of our childrens' achievements, climbing well above the state average in the API test. 95 Percent of our seniors passed the California High School Exit Exam. Our parents should be congratulated for their involvement with their children in homework, projects and PTA.

Working together we're making a difference. Test Scores are up. Campuses are safe. Schools are opening on time and on budget to accommodate our growing communities.

I enjoy working with parents, students, school staff, law enforcement, and community leaders to support positive programs that make a difference for our children.

I will continue that work with your help.

My record for our kids is one of commitment, a willingness to work on our students' behalf and a demand that every child have an opportunity to succeed.

I have proudly earned the trust and support of educators, safety officers, community and parent leaders and students.

I would be honored to again have your support as a Board Member.

Sincerely, Jeanette Amavisca
