Candidate for
Director; Eastern Municipal Water District; Division 1

Since 1985 I have served on the Board of Directors of the Eastern Municipal Water District, fighting to ensure the availability, quality and affordability of our water.

During my 21 years on E.M.W.D.'s Board, I have been deeply committed to the planning and implementation of environmentally sound programs that will assist in meeting future water and sewer service needs. My experience enables me to objectively analyze and understand the diverse water needs of our District.

I have been privileged to serve as a gubernatorial appointee to the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Board. I have also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Riverside County Farm Bureau and a member of the Association of California Water Agencies where I represent the Inland Empire and Imperial County.

I received my bachelor's of science degree in Agricultural Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and have lived and farmed in the San Jacinto Valley since 1955.

Water is far too important to our livelihood to leave to the inexperience of politicians.
