As an active board member I have demonstrated my ability to lead and to serve as a representative of the community. During my tenure we have passed Measure "C" which will provide $350 million for building needs over the next 15 years, and the Passport to College program which raised $1.6 million in scholarships for local high school students to attend RCC.

RCC faces many challenges in the future as it transitions to three independent colleges and selects a new Chancellor. Sound policy comes about only when board members are willing to consider various points of view before making decisions that will affect students, faculty, staff and the community at large. As an RCC trustee I will continue to put the interests of the students first.

I received my BA and MA from UCR and have devoted my life to education. I look forward to the challenges ahead and feel confident that RCC will continue to provide students with the quality education they deserve.

Keep the Community in Riverside Community College. On November 7, vote Jose Medina for Board of Trustees.
