It has been my privilege serving on the City Council for the past 14 years.

When I was first elected, the City was on the brink of bankruptcy. Having worked in private business for many years, I fought to cut costs, pay off debt, and secure new revenue, helping the City balance its budget.

With our fiscal house in order, I lead the fight to fund new police and fire stations, making our homes, schools and businesses safer. I also started the Perris Valley Citizen Patrol, giving law enforcement extra eyes and ears to fight crime.

I worked hard to build new parks, like Skydive Park, which has four new baseball fields, so families have a fun, safe place for sports and outdoor recreation. I also supported renovations on the Bob Glass gym.

Perris has become a community we can all be proud to call home. But our work is not done. As a Council, we are just getting started on numerous quality of life enhancements that will make Perris a signature city, including road improvements, modern stores, family restaurants and better parks.

I would be honored to continue serving you on the Perris City Council.

Thank you, Al Landers
