I have lived in California for over 22 years, and before that I was a resident of New York State. I graduated from CW Post College of Long Island University with a BA degree in History. My career was in sales and marketing, but along the way I was also a restaurant entrepreneur.

I was able to retire at age 50 and went into community service in my new California home town of Lake Elsinore. I was on the Economic Development Committee as well as the Riverside County Free Library Advisory Committee. In 1999 I was elected city treasurer. I was also very involved in water issues, especially conservation and water efficiency systems which we used in our own home, especially in our landscaping. Our home won awards for water conservation from the city and Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District.

After moving to The Colony, a 55+ community in the city of Murrieta, I volunteered for the landscape committee and served on it for over 2 ½ years. I was able to influence the committee regarding water conservation and I secured, with the help of the committee and our Homeowners Board of Directors, a $100,000 grant from Metropolitan Water District, through Western Municipal Water District, to install a cutting-edge satellite and computer controlled irrigation system for The Colony's 100 acres open space and 1,586 homes and front yards.

I have attended the last two Riverside County Water Symposiums and I am presently serving as the President of Elsinore Valley Water & Sewer Facilities Corporation. I will continue to remain involved with water issues especially conservation and hope to become the elected representative of Western Municipal Water District (District #3) this November.
