I am very proud to be an incumbent of the Jurupa Unified School District Board of Education. It has been an honor to be a part of the important decisions that affect the operation of our schools and the education of our students. I am dedicated to the children of Jurupa. Student achievement is my first priority.

My husband, John, and I have lived in Jurupa thirty years. I'm the executive director of the Jurupa Mountains Cultural Center, a science education facility and museum that is dedicated to hands-on learning.

I serve in numerous organizations that benefit our community. I do education programs in classrooms regarding rocks and minerals. I am seeking re-election to continue making a difference and serve the community.

I firmly believe that children thrive and learn better when they have a healthy environment. I have worked towards the goal of cleaner air for many years. I was instrumental in obtaining a three million-dollar grant that replaced a fleet of old diesel buses with clean fuel school buses.

We have over twenty thousand students. We recently opened the third high school and are opening partnership academies with local colleges. We are completing renovation of five schools. Standards in core academic areas have been implemented. Test scores in our schools are up. We continue to advance curriculum and technology.
