Government by common sense

By Mike Scheafer

Candidate for Council Member; City of Costa Mesa

This information is provided by the candidate
The current council majority often puts plans and programs into effect without listening to other viewpoints.
Too often the current Council majority has instituted programs without thoughtful, deliberate consideration. They have ignored the advice of their staff advisors, resorting more to the advice of the their small band of supporters or outside groups.

Decisions by local government must meet the needs of the majority of the residents and businessowners. This Council has ignored the larger group including the two leading vote getters from the 2004 election.

Common sense decisions involve local input and address local needs. Doing the job of the federal government does not make sense.
