Kitty's commitment to the City of Fullerton originates from her desire to serve her community. Kitty is ready to give back to the community and to reinstate the respect that the citizen's of Fullerton are so deserving of.

Kitty was born 52 years ago and raised in the City of Fullerton. Kitty's grade school years were completed at Maple Elementary. She was a member of the last sixth grade class to attend Maple prior to the closing of the school by the district.

Kitty then attended Wilshire Jr. High, now part of Fullerton College, followed by high school at Fullerton Union where she graduated in 1972. After high school she continued her education at Fullerton Jr. College, as it was known in 1972.

Shortly thereafter, Kitty met her husband Jimmie (also a graduate of Fullerton High School) and they were married in September 1973. Kitty has two children, Antonio and Sunnie, who followed in their parents' footsteps by graduating from Fullerton High School.

Kitty is currently employed by the City of Santa Ana as a Community Preservation Inspector for the past 8 years. Prior to joining the City of Santa Ana, she served the City of Fullerton in several fields.

Her 17 years with the City of Fullerton contributed greatly to a growing knowledge of public service. She was fortunate to develop an insightful understanding about serving the public, both as an employee and a member of the community.

While with the Fullerton Police Department, Kitty realized the importance of safety throughout the City, whether it is through the D.A.R.E. program in our local schools or the crime prevention programs. Kitty contributed her time and efforts to both of these important programs while a member of the F.P.D. Fire and crime prevention should continue to play a role in educating our children and community. Equally important is the maintenance of our City's infrastructure, the employees that provide that maintenance and the thriving business community.

Currently, Kitty co-chair's the non-profit Maple Alumni Committee which is devoted to raising funds each year for Maple Elementary School which has since been re-opened. They have succeeded in donating approximately $15,000 to enhance the academic programs, obtain educational tools and equipment necessary for our children's future. Kitty also served a 4 year term, (2 years as chairman) for the City of Fullerton Community Development Citizen's Committee. Her past affiliations include the Latino Police Officer's Association, Fullerton High School Booster's, West Fullerton Little League Women's Auxiliary and the Fullerton Rangers Board of Directors.

Kitty's heart is Fullerton. It is her desire to bring honesty, loyalty, integrity, equality, and hope to improve the quality of life for all residents of this great community.
