Dear Friends,

I need your support! My name is Greg Ferguson and I am running for one of three seats on the Buena Park City Council. The election is just around the corner and I need your help to win this election!

For those of you who may not know my background, I have been married to my very beautiful wife Jeree for 23 years. We have made Buena Park our home for the last 16 years. As a proud father of two adult children I understand the importance of family and community. I am very fortunate to have the support and love of my children - a daughter in law enforcement, a son in the printing and photography trades and two handsome grandsons.

My nearly 20 years experience employed in city government, combined with several years working in communications and finance, have brought me insight into the inner workings of government finance and some of the issues facing local jurisdictions. Experience working with labor unions and contracts has also taught me how to think outside of the box and come up with creative new solutions to some of these problems and issues.

When elected, I plan to lobby for more funding for the safety and security for the residents and businesses in the great city of Buena Park. As a major tourist destination we need more police and emergency services. Our infrastructure is suffering and we need to look at the various ways we can fund enhancements.

One of my goals when elected is to work on making city hall more user friendly for residents and businesses. We can help achieve this goal by providing more services online and via automated phone service. This system will open up a "virtual" City Hall 24 hours a day seven days a week for services such as permit processing and license renewals. We are all so busy that folks don't have time to run to city hall and stand in line to fill out a form or pay a bill. We shouldn't have to drive to the city of La Habra to apply for our dog licenses either! Let's move out of the dark ages and use more technology to make our lives easier.

We need to do a better job of attracting and retaining quality businesses in our community. Through a variety of new incentives and programs we can increase the sales tax base and increase our revenue to help pay for improved city services.

Please help me in making my goals a reality. Should you have any questions, feel free to give me a call + 714-878-3698.

I need your support and your vote on November 7th.
