I was born and raised in Southern California, spending the majority of my life here in North Orange County. I spent my memorable youth in the city of Placentia, attending Ruby Drive Elementary, Topaz Elementary, Kramer Junior High and Valencia High School, graduating in 1981.

Out of high school, I began my training as a Machinist at Fullerton Community College while working at a machine shop in Anaheim. I was certified as a Machinist in 1983.

After substaining an injury on the job in late 1984, I began a long transition into the field of computers. After several years of learning and proving myself on the job, I became a Software Engineer which I have enjoyed for nearly 15 years.

Fortunately, I have had the love of a wonderful woman who has been by my side through these changes. I have been married to Kim for over 23 wonderful years. She grew up in Yorba Linda. With her having relatives that were here in Yorba Linda long before many of us, I am provided with a perspective few today have. I have three great kids, ages 14 and 11, and our newest edition was born this last June. I love to coach my daughter and other children in the Upward Basketball program at Rose Drive Friends Church.

Kim and I moved back to Yorba Linda about 9 years ago after living in other parts of North Orange County for several years. We live in a townhouse in the Jamestowne Townhomes community in West Yorba Linda where I serve on the Board of Directors and have for several years.

My interest in the political process has increased over the last 20 plus years and has spurred my desire to serve my community as a Council Member for the City of Yorba Linda.
