This information is provided by the candidate
Lifelong Orange Resident; Councilman for 8 years, and Mayor Pro Tem; Oppose Higher Taxes; Protect Public Safety
MIKE ALVAREZ CANDIDATE'S STATEMENT

A lifelong Orange resident, I proudly served our City as Councilman for eight years, and as Mayor Pro Tem.

The effects of Illegal immigration, widespread congregating by day laborers, increases in unlawful boarding houses, overcrowding in neighborhoods and schools, severe traffic congestion, threaten to erode our City. We must control these problems before they control us.

As your Mayor, I will take action to resolve these issues to protect our city and quality of life.

My family and I represent three generations in Orange; founded the Orange Army-Navy Store in 1955. I served on: Planning Commission, Chamber of Commerce, President, Friends, Orange Public Library. An Orange Senior Center supporter, I'm active in church, charities, and youth sports.

As your Mayor, I will continue to demonstrate strong leadership to enforce City laws and protect Orange's unique character and quality of life.

A fiscal conservative, I'll strengthen public safety; fight for no new taxes or fees; strict taxpayer accountability.

Orange Police and Firefighters, Congressman Ed Royce, State Senator Dick Ackerman, Assemblyman Todd Spitzer, and Supervisor Bill Campbell honored and awarded my "outstanding" City and community leadership.

I'll work for you, and fight for Orange.

I'll provide a clear vision and a higher standard of leadership committed to solving our most pressing problems. Working together, we can secure a positive future for the City of Orange.

I would be honored to serve you as the new Mayor of Orange. http://www.AlvarezforMayor.com
